Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has promised justice to the families of three civilians who died allegedly after being picked up by security forces in Jammu’s Poonch district. Singh met with the five men who were allegedly tortured by security forces and are currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital in Rajouri. The Defence Minister expressed grief over the deaths and assured the families that justice will be served.
He acknowledged that the victims were not at fault and that the government has provided compensation, but emphasized that no amount of money can compensate for the loss of a human life.
